Horrible Vhs Why Such Poor Quality Burning DVD From VHS Using Sony VDR-MC5 ?

Why such poor quality burning DVD from VHS using Sony VDR-MC5 ? - horrible vhs

I have just received the Sony VRD-MC5 DVD recorder and VHS and DVD recording quality was terrible.
I have a DVD + R discs and I noticed that the manual states, it must be blank DVD + R DL. This can be the difference in the quality of the burned DVDs?

VHS to DVD do not usually copy large. Unless you take to an expert who can change the signal before recording on the DVD. Check and make sure the setting on the DVD is in the best possible quality for the recording.

When burning a DVD, you must consider the length of the series is recorded. There are different settings. EP, LP, SP, HQ ... (Extended Play, Long Play, Standard Play high quality) at EP, the worst quality ... Since all data is CRAM on DVD. AC is the best, you need the entire space on the DVD. The quality is very high in this configuration, but it will make a show of 45 minutes.
